Dutch National Opera Academy | La fedeltà premiata

Joseph Haydn, Viennese grandmaster and contemporary of Mozart and Beethoven, is famous for his symphonies but also composed many magnificent operas, specially created for the brand-new theatre in the palace of Eszterháza. La Fedeltà Premiata, composed in 1780, is one of his finest musical theatre works. The plot is both comic and serious, resulting in a highly colourful and musically diverse experience.
